Priced by the pound. A natural calcium silicate that can be used to replace silica and whiting where they are used in combination in clay and glazes. Can also act as an auxiliary flux in clays and glazes.
Often used to reduce fired shrinkage in clay bodies. Crystalline structure aids in fast drying and firing of clay bodies. Produces less gassing of clays during glaze firing than whiting, resulting in less pin holing.
