Grog is a hard-fired clay that is crushed to various mesh sizes. It may be added to clays for both tactile and visual texture. It will also aid in opening the body for drying purposes, reducing shrinkage, and to add 'Tooth' during the forming process.

Mulcoa grog is a light grey Mullite aggregate that has been homogenized by a unique process and Calcined in order to obtain maximum Mullite yield.

Typical analysis:

1Percentages retained on Tyler sieves are derived from average production figures and do not represent specifications. The lower the sieve number, the more coarse the grog.

Grogs can be used individually or in combination, but seldom totaling more than 40% of the total clay body weight. Coarser grogs are generally used for larger or more textured works, while finer grogs are for smaller or smoother work.

**Note: For large or heavy orders that weigh 150 lbs. or more, we will advise you of the approximate freight cost. You will not be charged until we verify shipping costs with you.**
