Footage for this video was shot as part of a Fulbright grant to document "Traditional
Thai Pottery." In order to add authenticity to the video, it was all shot
with available light and sound. No scenes were staged. The sound track is 90%
original with minimal dubbed narration. This approach gives a more real sense
of how and where the potters live and work.In order to keep the cost down the
video was edited on Sony 8mm decks. The "Traditional Thai Pottery" video
was reviewed in Ceramics Monthly Magazine in the December 1992 issue.
The video is an excellent education tool. It contains excellent instructive footage
of a wide variety of novel, yet practical forming techniques. Please help keep
the already low cost down by observing the copyright. |
