He then presents a step-by-step demonstration creating simple tessellations with cut paper. The three types of tessellations shown include translation, rotation, and reflection. He creates a template, traces multiple shapes on large pieces of paper, and then cuts, glues the shapes, and decorates the final design. Examples of student tessellations are also shown.
