The vellum textured surface is excellent for "Charcoal Style" drawing with the Mechanical Underglaze pencil (TM331 and TM331HLD), with underglaze pencils, and for spectacular layered color with Laguna's Versa 5 or Creatable Colors glaze systems and expressive line with Axner over glaze and under glaze pens. It is great for decals and Fired on Transfer paper. The sheets can be fired multiple times without visible warping so your ceramic paintings or drawings can be imbued with complex nuances of color and line. The 4.5" x 6.5" sizes work wonderfully for images which use a copied photo and the Fired on Images Transfer Paper decals (TM637) as a starting point for a composition.
