Extra Heavy Elements, Coated with ITC 213 Ceramic Coating for Metals
In addition to using heavy gauge wire, our elements are dipped in a special high temperature ceramic coating that is made to preserve metals under extreme temperatures. This coating protects the elements from the normal oxidation effects due to the exposure of various gaseous elements at extreme temperatures. Tests have shown that elements protected with this coating can even withstand repeated exposure to kiln chambers filled with burning carbon based fuels (such as in a reduction atmosphere). You can expect these elements to last far longer than

3 month continually elements, one not coated with ITC (the top broken element), and one coated with ITC (the bottom, like-new element)

Case in Point: The top part of the image on the right shows an industrial molybdenum element that was used for 3 months in continual usage at 2480° F. The bottom part shows the exact same type of element that was fired for one full year in the same kiln, under the same conditions with the only exception being that it was first covered with a thin layer of our special high temperature ceramic coating. Note that it still appears as if it were brand new!

Walls are Coated with ITC 100HT Ceramic Coating
ITC ceramic coatings act as reflectors which actually bounce the heat back into the kiln. Some users of ITC 100 coatings report as much as a 40% fuel savings. The reflective action of the ITC 100 coatings also enhances the capability of an even firing. Finally, this coating will add to the life of your insulated fire brick.
